Portraits - Seeing The Light
Lighting is the most important technique to learn. Seeing the light is designed to open your eyes to available light indoors and outdoors. We will show you how to use any available light source to your advantage. A one-day course is available with two locations.

Landscape Photography Workshops
The Cotswolds Workshop
Chipping campden in the heart of the Cotswolds is the location for the summer 2008 landscape workshop. The workshop will begin at Snowshill Lavender near Broadway in the cotswolds. A selection of camera equipment will be available including Canon 5D Digital - Pentax Medium Format - Toyo Large Format 5x4. It is a chance to try different camera formats and to learn about lighting and composition.

Digital Capture - Landscape
Digital cameras have changed the way we capture the landscape. This workshop is set in The Malvern Hills in Worcestershire. We begin by understanding the difference between the digital sensor and film, and how it will change our images. The aim of the workshop is to give you the skills to pre-visualise your images, through to final printing and framing. We will use a selection of basic on-camera filters to produce the best digital files for post-production. We offer a one-day workshop or one to one training on location.

Large Format Monochrome Workshops
Using The View Camera
Upton upon Severn is the location for the summer 2008 view camera workshop. The workshop will begin at Castle Morton Common near Malvern in Worcestershire. A selection of camera equipment will be available including Toyo 5x4 Monorail Technical Camera and Horseman 10x8. You will learn how to load 5x4 film and use the view camera to produce a negative for scanning.

Adobe Lightroom Workflow

During the workshop (lasting four hours) you will learn to master raw file workflow through Adobe Lightroom. This is a hands on course and you will be using lightroom within a very short time to edit images in a simple step by step workflow.

During the workshop (lasting four hours) you will learn to retouch images using Adobe Photoshop. This is an intensive course and you will be using adobe photoshop within a very short time to edit images in a simple step by step workflow.

Digital Studio Photography
Tethered Shooting in Lightroom
Tethered shooting in Adobe Lightroom will allow you to set up a digital studio for professional use on location with a laptop or PC/Mac. We use Canon eos 5D cameras connected to a 24" Imac computer running canon software and adobe lightroom. You will learn to produce colour corrected and retouched files ready for print or web use.

Back to Basics Digital Photography is a course designed to help you understand basic digital photography. How to use apertures and shutter speeds creatively. If you have just purchased a digital SLR camera and would like to produce professional results - this course is for you. If you about to purchase a digital SLR camera and need advice we can go to a local jessops store and try different equipment before you purchase your new camera.
